Forbes Middle East under the theme of “The Most Influential Women in the MENA Region” in family businesses and governments category has named Mona Almoayyed, Managing Director and Board Member of YK Almoayyed and Sons, as the most influential Arab Businesswoman.

Mona, daughter of Yousef Khalil Almoayyed, founder of YK Almoayyed, is handling staff of over 1,000 and about 100 different brands, from luxury goods and home electronics to heavy equipment, medical technology and concrete.
Furthermore, she was the first woman to be elected on the Board of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) and was also the Chairwoman of Business Women’s Committee. In 2008, she ranked twelve on Forbes’ list of “Most Powerful Arab Women”, and number four on the list of “50 Most Influential People in Bahrain”.
Mona Almoayyed was also the Chairwoman and founding member of the Bahrain Businesswomen’s Society (BBWS) for 6 terms from 2006 – May 2012, and the Chairwoman of Migrant Workers Protection Society (MWPS) for 3 terms from 2005-June 2011.
