His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, who received at Gudaibiya Palace a number of MPs, in the presence of senior state officials led by President of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalid Al Khalifa, Shura Council Chairman Ali Saleh Al Saleh, Representatives Council First Deputy Speaker Abdullah bin Khalaf Al Dussari and a number of minister, affirmed that the government is keen to implement housing projects across Bahrain while ensuring citizens’ interests are not affected.
He praised cooperation between the executive and legislative powers and participation of MPs in decision-making according to their constitutional authorities.
HRH the Prime Minister stressed the importance of boosting such cooperation to further promote Bahrain’s progress and meet the aspirations of the people for a safe, stable and decent life.
He said that everybody’s goal is to build the society, support its development, improve citizens’ living standards and preserve national gains and achievements.
He added that attempts to destabilize the nation and intimidate people have nothing to do with democracy, stressing that anyone who adopts such approach is not seeking Bahrain’s interest. HRH called on everyone to exert all efforts for the best interest of Bahrain and its progress in all fields.
For their part, the MPs expressed thanks and appreciation for HRH the Prime Minister’s stances in achieving citizens’ aspirations, hailing his keen interest to activate cooperation between the executive and legislative powers for the welfare of the country and its people.
They demanded the government to be decisive on preventing access of politicized and non-professional organizations that are trying to mar the kingdom’s bright human rights record to Bahrain.
