Information Affairs Authority (IAA) decided to deport three journalists working in a foreign channel after violating the laws and regulations of the Kingdom of Bahrain, exploited the facilities offered by the Kingdom for the media men and journalists and exercised media activities without obtaining a license from the competent authorities.
In a statement issued by the (IAA) stated that the three media men had previously been warned more than once for the need to obtain prior authorization, but they insisted on violating laws and regulations governing the work of the media, of which made the (IAA) to take the necessary measures in coordination with the concerned authorities to ensure preserving national security of Bahrain.
The (IAA) reinforced Kingdom of Bahrain’s unwavering commitment to the open door policy in light of the political media openness, transparency, disclosure of the facts and highlights that it has nothing to hide.
The (IAA) stressed that Bahrain always welcomes all its visitors, on condition that they should have to abide with the laws in force in the country, and show respect for the security, stability and sovereignty of the kingdom, as is the case in all countries of the world.
On the other hand, a great number of journalists and media men have entered the Kingdom during the past few days to cover all the events and activities taking place in Bahrain.
