During the official visit by the Economic Delegation to the United Kingdom to participate in London Economic Forum, Industry and Commerce minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro met with the Chairman of Arab-British Chamber of Commerce Baroness Elizabeth Symons and Secretary-General and Chief Executive of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce Dr. Afnan Al Shuaiby, in presence of Bahrain Ambassador to the United Kingdom Alice Samaan and Chairman of Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry Essam Fakhro and a number of Chamber board members and Othman Shareef from Bahrain Chamber of commerce and Industry and Ministry’s officials.
The Minister commended the outstanding effort undertaken by Arab-British Chamber of Commerce in supporting vision and economic strategies of both countries, stressing in this context Bahrain government constant quest to enhance bilateral relations the world particularly the United Kingdom. On this occasion, Dr. Fakhro noted the numerous investment opportunities provided by the Kingdom of Bahrain for investors from all over the world supported with facilities and procedures as well as appropriate social climate and legal legislation that encouraged settling and working in the country.
The Minister also pointed the level of existing economic exchange and cooperation between the two countries, which is witnessing rapid growth enhancing with agreements between the two countries. Dr. Fakhro confirmed the importance of such bilateral meetings in developing relations.
They also review during the meeting many of the economic issues and joint investment projects between the two countries.
Baroness Symons thanked and appreciated the Government of Bahrain and the Ministry of Industry and Commerce on their efforts to enhance economic relations with the United Kingdom.
