In line with Bapco’s strong sense of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) issues, corporate social responsibility and the unwavering efforts to translate a corporate “caring” culture, Adel Al Moayyed Bapco’s Chairman of Board Acting Chief Executive recently received Paulina Duker, Vice President Diabetes Education and Clinical Programs in the Scientific and Medical Division of the American Diabetes Association at Bapco Club, Awali.
During the visit, Duker presented a speech on the prevention of diabetes entitled “Educational Diabetic program.” Present at the meeting was Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdullah Al- Khalifa, Minister of State for Defense Affairs and President of Bahrain Diabetic Society (BDS), Ebrahim Talib Deputy Chief Executive Refining and Marketing, Chairman of EHS Committee and members of the Company’s Management and BDS officials. The speech presented a number of initiatives that Bapco may take to enhance its “Rehabilitation & Prevention of Diabetes” project. Shaikh Mohamed bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa and Adel Al Moayyed presented a memorial gift to Duker as a token of thanks and appreciation for this educational visit.
“Bapco has always taken interest in implementing important initiatives in this regard. Aspiration for tangible benefits in EHS has been translated into action plans and programmes that have positively impacted employees, contractors, their families and Bahrain at large,” Bapco in a statement said.
