The 7.8 magnitude earthquake which struck Southern Iran, on the borders with Pakistan, and sent tremors throughout the Arabian Gulf states and India has not affected Almoayyed Tower.
Cluttons Head of Property and Facilities management Steve Browne denied allegations posted on social media websites purporting the quake aftershocks caused cracks in the high-rise building.
“A technical committed has already examined the tower and reported no fissures”, Mr. Browne, dismissing the rumors as totally untrue.
He pointed out that high-rise Almoayyed had been evacuated following the quake tremors in line with the buildings safety protocol.
The building remained shut while a precautionary structural inspection was undertaken by one of Bahrain’s leading engineering companies who confirmed there was no structural damage to the building.
Steve Browne confirmed the building will be open as normal on the 17th April.
