Ebtikar Association is holding a workshop entitled “Entrepreneurship and Information and Communication Technology” presented by Raman Jaggy, international consultant and expert in entrepreneurship. Coinciding with the Bahrain International e-Government Forum 2013 being hosted by the eGovernment Authority under the auspices of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Supreme Committee of ICT, the event will be on Monday, April 8, 2013 at 1 pm in the Ritz Carlton Hotel and Resort at Rotunda Ballroom.
“Organizing this workshop is the very first initiative by the association that aims to develop a spirit of innovation, entrepreneurship and innovators to develop their ideas and turn them into successful business ventures. Creativity and innovation in today world is a major driver behind the creation of businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises. Also, it assists in creating jobs, raising production efficiency and improving performance and competitiveness in order to achieve sustainable development and prosperity of the knowledge economy in Bahrain,” Osama Al Khaja, Ebtikar Association President, said.
“This workshop aims to provide participants with inspiring ideas for starting in an entrepreneurial environment and explaining the role of innovation and its importance in the development of entrepreneurship in ICT sector. Also it aims to consolidate values of entrepreneurship in existing institutions and companies to contribute to their growth and prosperity. The workshop will address the importance of adopting and developing ICT in the business environment through a review of selected models and practical applications of case studies and standing on the key factors that affect the growth of businesses in general,” Al Khaja added.
