Any country that thinks of jeopardising the sovereignty and integrity of GCC countries should not expect from GCC to accept that. Also GCC needs to move towards closer cooperation and unity in words and deeds, Interior Minister Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa during the 14th Consultative Meeting of GCC Interior Ministers in his speech said.
He added that the 14th Consultative Meeting reflected joint determination to continue cooperation and coordination and reinforces brotherly ties.
He asserted that the threat to the ruling systems in the Gulf required joint stances and determination to face it collectively.
“Those with bad intentions tend to spread chaos to break the law. In Bahrain we confronted security-related cases and situations that are dealt with according to the law since there is no compromise when it comes to the protection of the Kingdom’s security,” the Minister explained.
Shaikh Rashid informed his GCC counterparts about the Cabinet’s decision to ratify the GCC Security Agreement, noting that it will be referred to the Legislative Authority to finalise the legal and constitutional procedures.
