The Kingdom of Bahrain and the Kingdom of Thailand are expected to cement their historic ties and work towards enhancing mutual cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, education, food and energy security, during the three-day visit of His Majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa to the Royal Kingdom of Thailand, starting April 18.
Cooperation under various multilateral frameworks, such as the United Nations (UN), the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is also expected to be discussed. Development of stronger links between the South East Asian Region (SEAR) and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) through the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) is also expected to be looked into.
His Majesty the King will be in Thailand until April 20. HM tours Thailand at the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Yingluck Shinawatra.
