The 12th session of the dialogue will be held on Wednesday at Al- Areen Resort.
The session will discuss a proposal tabled by a representative of the Coalition of the National and Political Societies to set two tracks for the Dialogue, Official Spokesperson Isa Abdulrahman announced.
According to the proposal, Sundays should be allocated to discuss disputed and pending points while other points should be discussed on Wednesdays.
He said that after discussing the proposal in the 11th session, besides the coalition representatives, the representatives of the legislative authority and the Government too agreed to the proposal.
The representatives of the National Democratic Opposition Societies had sought time until Wednesday’s session to deliberate over the proposal before expressing their opinion on it.
AbdulRahman said the session started with a briefing by the moderators about the topics referred by the working group to the general dialogue table to select any of those topics for discussion.
These were the paragraph on consensus, the Dialogue’s agenda and principles and values. In addition, the National Democratic Opposition Societies presented definitions and explanations on points 2 and 3 that required explanation and defining of principles and values in the documents presented by them on March 17.
He said there was in-depth discussion about the representation point, as some participants felt that the matter hadn’t been finalised yet.
Others asked to move forward with the Dialogue and start discussing the agenda as the topic had been thoroughly reviewed and finalised as: “The Government is a participant in its own right and the Justice Minister is assigned to refer the outcomes of the Dialogue to His Majesty the King.”
