A team from the Neste Oil, Finland, met with the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco). The delegation was received by Bapco’s Deputy Chief Executive Refining and Marketing Chairman of Bapco’s Environment, Health and Safety Committee EHSC Ebrahim Talib, Manager Fire, Health and Safety Ahmed Khalil and Occupational Hygienist Rosie Williamson.
The purpose of the visit was to exchange information about Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) systems and programs between BAPCO and NESTE Oil. Neste Team consisted of Harri Jarvelin HSEQ Function Director, Erkki Ranta HSEQ Director Production and Logistics and Esa Merikallio General Manager Neste Oil Bahrain WLL.
During the visit, Talib explained Bapco’s EHS journey, achievements, challenges as well as the joint achievements of the two companies in the Lube Base Oil Plant (LBOP). The team toured some refinery facilities and were briefed on an introduction of Bapco’s EH&S Management systems and emergency preparedness. Neste Oil team presented a brief introduction of their ESHQ activities.
