The law doesn’t permit anyone to disrupt any economic activity in the country which somehow passes on to the citizens, Bahrain Government’s Official Spokesperson said on Sunday.
Minister of State for Information Affairs and the Official Spokesperson of the Government Samira Ibrahim bin Rajab in her weekly post Cabinet media briefing she maintained that the Bahrain F1 Grand Prix has a huge economic impact and anyone who try to interrupt it is not a loyal citizen.
“To enjoy the economic benefits of events like F1 is a basic right of the citizens and the Government will take necessary steps to host such events smoothly and without any interruption,” the Minister said.
She said that the Formula One race was a sporting competition that was closely related to the economic affairs and was well underway in its final day.
She stressed that the Bahrain Grand Prix race was nothing more a sporting event that had nothing to do with political affairs, noting that “destruction of the economy is not a national work.”
She affirmed that there was “no honest citizen who supports the destruction of his nation since disagreements over any demands do by no means justify harming the national economy which benefits all the citizens, and those who are engaged in politics should bear this in mind and assume their responsibilities.”
