Head of Public Prosecution Wael Bualia affirmed that the sentences were issued by the high criminal court lately punishing a number of suspects to serve time in jail between five to 15 years in their involvement in the case of deliberately attempting to kill a police officer along with setting fires and acquisition of fire bombs, had their sentence eased within the law.
Bualia maintained a balanced and on the basis of the current circumstances in addition aspect related to the young age of those convicted. The Head of Public Prosecution indicated that the public prosecution in such cases would administer the maximum punishment due to the fact that conclusive proof was presented for their involvement.
Meanwhile, he also emphasized that no one had the right to lessen the sentence except through legal channels which is requesting an appeal in the case.
