Labour Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Vocational Training Jamil bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan stressed the ministry’s growing interest in developing vocational training policies in Bahrain.
He was speaking in the 6th ceremony which was held by the Supreme Council for Vocational Training under his patronage at the Crowne Plaza Hotel to honour exempted and sponsoring institutions of the vocational training subscription programme 2012.
“Training is a main and influential factor in ensuring success of economic and social development programmes.”
He also stressed the role of training in promoting the national workforce and taking up leading posts in various establishments in the private sector.
He underlined the role of voluntary initiatives by companies and individuals from the private sector in supporting the government’s efforts to develop the Training policies.
He pointed out schemes being carried out by the Labour Ministry in collaboration with the Supreme Council for Vocational Training and the Labour Fund (Tamkeen) as well as the budget earmarked for that.
He emphasized the importance of quality educational output in the success of the Bahrainization policy, pointing out the key role played by the officials in charge of training in private companies in developing human resources and increasing performance and productivity.
The Labour Minister presented certificates of excellence and shields of appreciation to 44 honourees, including companies, institutions and individuals.
