His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister received His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, at Gudaibiya Palace.
His Royal Highness underlined the importance of continuing to generate opportunities for youth to realise their aspirations through economic empowerment and entrepreneurship.
His Royal Highness said Bahraini youth were known for taking the initiative, in addition to their sense of creativity and capacity for innovation. His Royal Highness stated that this deserves encouragement on all levels in an atmosphere of fresh ideas and competition that motivates success and delivers progress.
His Royal Highness touched on what has been done to support youth in small and medium enterprise projects, noting an eagerness to facilitate the acquisition of capital and resources, regulate manpower, and developing a suitable legal framework that ensures the sustainability of these projects.
His Royal Highness noted that supporting these projects is part of a policy of economic openness in the Kingdom of Bahrain, which thrives on a stable and safe environment being maintained in Bahrain.
The meeting also discussed means and channels of coordination between government entities and the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports in supporting projects that assist Bahraini youth in achieving their ambitions.
His Royal Highness was briefed by His Highness Shaikh Nasser on the current initiatives that empower youth towards entrepreneurship, including Intilaqa (Headstart), as well as other programmes in the pipeline.
His Highness Shaikh Nasser welcomed the support of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for the initiatives aimed at youth, which provide them with opportunities to realise their potential and contribute to the further development of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
