He described the major achievement as the dividend of the leadership’s unlimited support to Bahraini sport figures and national competencies. He also congratulated Shaikh Salman on AFC’s confidence, saying that it is a reflection of the trust placed in him to lead the Asian football march in the next phase.
He paid tribute to Shaikh Salman, describing him as one of the most prominent figures on the Arab, Asian and international football scene, underlining his enormous contributions to developing this sport.
He pledged every support from SCYS to Shaikh Salman, in line with the directives of HM the King. He commended the Bahraini competencies which managed to take up leading posts in the biggest continent in the world, considering Shaikh Salman’s victory in the elections as an added value to the Asian football.
He highlighted Shaikh Salman’s ability to impart a new spirit to AFC, noting the importance of carrying out the electoral programme which won appreciation and respect of the member states.
He also thanked the football federations of Arab and friendly countries for their support to Shaikh Salman, wishing him every success in pumping new development ideas into the Asian football.
