The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) is hosting the 98th Gulf Oil Companies HR Liaison Meeting, which is being held on May 21st and 22nd 2013 at the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq.
The purpose of meeting, which is being held under theme of “Performance Management and Rewards”, is to further foster cooperation between the region’s oil companies, and to enhance communication and share new developments in the HR field within the oil business.
The meeting was opened by Ghassan Ali Al-Muhanna, Bapco’s General Manager HR and Administration.
“Our discussions at these meetings provide us with a valuable opportunity to exchange views and expertise on matters related to our human resources. Our people are at the heart of what we do; by working together we can keep ourselves informed and develop the elements of best practice that are key to achieving our goals. The efficiency of our functions is aided by these types of exchanges. By focusing on our employees, their skills, their potential and the issues raised in the handling of employee relations, we can enhance the effectiveness of human resources in our companies,” Al-Muhanna said.
The delegates also discussed major HR policy changes and developments in their companies. Bapco’s Manager HR Department, Mohamed Hussain and a number of Senior Human Resources members of Bapco’s team attending the meeting.
