As part of its ongoing desire to encourage the young artists and art movement in the Kingdom, the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) launched its 2nd Annual Art Competition.
The event is organized in the wake of the huge success achieved during the first contest held last year during which of a number of talented artists across the Kingdom participated.
Naji Ahmed, Manager Public Relations Department of Bapco said that the company is proud to organize this event which aims to enrich the artistic movement and promote the arts sector. He emphasised that the contest included several art works of high value and content since its establishment.
“The deadline for receiving participating art works is Wednesday, 15 May 2013,” he added. The competition will be held this year under the theme of “Invest in our Environment” reflecting the importance of nature around us. This activity is part of Bapco’s key contributions in fostering the community welfare and supporting art activities. This year’s competition has witnessed a remarkable response from artists of the Kingdom, who expressed the desire to participate in this year’s contest,” Naji Ahmed, said.
