On the occasion of Labor Day, BBK celebrates the loyalty of 77 long-standing employees at a ceremony headed by the Chief Executive A. Karim Bucheery which was hosted at the Gulf Hotel Convention Centre.
The 77 BBK employees were awarded for their 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years of service with cash prizes and recognition plaques. Following the honoring ceremony a luncheon was held in their honor, attended by the Executive Management team.
At the event, A. Karim Bucheery thanked the employees for their notable contributions to BBK’s development and their loyalty to the organization.
He emphasized on BBK’s strategy to build the Bank’s human capabilities and invest in training in order to retain talented individuals.
“We believe our people are our number one asset with the highest degree of competence, integrity and professionalism. In 2012, BBK was able to generate very acceptable financial performance thanks to the excellence of the people that we work with. The Bank is proud to embrace a team of experts and of high caliber standard individuals, and will continue to invest in its employees capabilities through specialized training programmes within and outside the Kingdom,” Bucheery said.
Hassaan Burshaid, Assistant General Manager, Human Resources and Administration also stressed that the Banks’ priority would continue to nurture talent and retain such talent aimed at maintaining BBK’s position as employer of choice.
“The Bank always strives to reward its employees in various ways through schemes such as the Employee Recognition Programme as well as honoring long years of service with the Service Award Ceremony.”
The Service Award Ceremony, which is held on an annual basis, is part of BBK’s approach to reward its employees’ dedication and appreciate their continuous efforts and loyalty.
