Court reduces sentence to six months for a police cop

The High Criminal Court of Appeal has reduced the verdict of a police officer convicted of involvement in a death case from seven years to six months, Chief Prosecutor Osama Al-Oufi said.

He announced that the Public Prosecution would file an appeal before the Court of Cassation as it deems that the verdict failed to take into account the circumstances surrounding the incident.
