Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa joined the Arab Peace Initiative Follow-up Committee in a key meeting with US Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State John Kerry to discuss the Palestinian issue and ways of reviving the stalled peace process in the Middle East.
Shaikh Khalid stressed the necessity of settling the Arab-Israeli conflict on the basis of the UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative, hailing the US efforts in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Qatari Premier and foreign minister along with the foreign ministers of Palestine, Jordan and Egypt, the Arab League secretary-general and the Saudi and Lebanese ambassadors to Washington.
