Linking education to modern technologies can guarantee an academic outcome up to international challenges, according to Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, Deputy Prime Minister, said.
Shaikh Mohammed, who is also head of the Education and Training Development Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Committee for Information and Communication Technology, highlighted the importance of education equipped with modern technology to surmount the challenges.
He was speaking on the occasion of his patronage of the 4th International eLearning Conference which is organised by the University of Bahrain (UoB)’s Zain Centre for eLearning from May 7 to 9 at Bahrain Crowne Plaza Hotel.
He praised Bahrain’s leading position in utilizing the electronic technology in learning, pointing out that the development projects in Bahrain rely basically on the highest standards of Education which are achieved by applying the latest and most effective technologies-distance learning via the electronic space.
UoB President Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Janahi hailed Shaikh Mohammed’s patronage of the conference, commending the leadership’s tremendous care and support for e-learning which has become vital for development.
He pointed out that the conference represents the 4th edition of e-learning conferences being organised by UoB, adding that it will review European, Arab and GCC experiences by spotlighting 110 work papers.
