Police tracked down three fugitives and arrested them with the help of citizens, Public Security Chief Major-General Tariq Hassan Al-Hassan said.
The security forces had launched a manhunt to track down the thugs who laid an ambush and bumped their cars into a vehicle that was taking some Dry Dock detainees involved in security-related cases to court and helped them escape.
Police have also tracked down and arrested an accomplice who laid the ambush and held the detainees escape.
Police are also searching for three outlaws –after identifying them – to bring them to justice to face charges.

An inquiry has been launched to investigate the circumstances underlying the detainees’ escape and gauge any shortcomings and laxity for necessary measures to be taken.
