The General Director of Northern Governorate Police confirmed an explosion in Bani Jamra that targeted security forces on Wednesday night. The blast caused injuries to seven policemen with one officer remained in a critical condition.
Wednesday attack was a latest targeting on-duty policemen as part of series of attacks unleashed by thugs against the law enforcing agencies in Bahrain.
The blast injured seven policemen, including one officer who is in critical condition. Two other officers sustained serious injuries. All 7 were referred to the hospital for treatment.
The General Director reported that investigators immediately responded to the scene and launched an investigation to identify the guilty parties and bring them to justice. The bomb was a homemade device thought to have been placed by terrorists.
