The Minister of State for Communications Affairs Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa paid a visit to the headquarters of the VIVA Bahrain, as part of his visits to the telecommunications companies operating in the kingdom.
Upon arrival, Shaikh Fawaz was welcomed by VIVA Bahrain’s Chief Executive Olyan Al-Wateed, directors and officials.
Shaikh Fawaz inspected VIVA Bahrain’s facilities, departments and directorates, and was briefed about its activities, services provided to customers, development projects and social initiatives.
The Minister of State lauded the high quality of the services the company provides for its customers, praising its crucial role in consolidating competition in Bahrain’s telecommunications market.
He expressed the government’s support for investments in the telecommunications sector and keenness to ensure a suitable environment for companies operating in the country.
He pointed out that VIVA’s launch of its operations in Bahrain has benefited customers and generated more than 1000 job opportunities.
VIVA Bahrain’s CEO Olyan Al-Wateed expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to Shaikh Fawaz for the visit, adding that his company is commitment to continuing investing in Bahrain’s telecommunications infrastructure and upgrading the quality of its services.
He also underscored the company’s landmark projects, pioneering role in the telecommunications sector in the kingdom and social responsibility initiatives.
