The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)’s Chairman, Dr. Essam Abdullah Fakhro, lauded bilateral economic cooperation relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the friendly Federal Republic of Germany citing the increasingly-growing volume of trade exchanges between the two friendly countries estimated at $542 million in 2011.
Dr. Fakhro underscored the ambitious reform project of HM King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa which provides very attractive climates for trade and investment under the wise leadership of HM the King and in harmony with the directives of HRH Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa the Prime Minister and support of HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and EDB’s President.
Dr. Fakhro praised Germany as one of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s major partners amongst EU-member countries and he invited prospective German investors and businesspeople to explore huge economic potentials and investment opportunities in Bahrain’s market.
This came in the BCCI Chairman’s speech at the Arab-German Economic Forum hosted in the German Capital, Berlin, which continues until June 14, 2013.
It is worth mentioning that the number of German firms and trading agencies operating in Bahrain exceed 220 trading agencies and 50 firms, such as DHL, BASF and SIEMENS.
