Continue to its efforts to stand on markets’ and to check the availability of basic foodstuffs especially near the holy month of Ramadan, Industry and Commerce Minister Dr. Hassan Fakhro and a number of MOIC officials visited Bahrain Flour Mills Company, where he was received by company Chairman Yousif Al Saleh and General Manager Mohammed Nass.
During Minister’s visit, which was accompanied by a number of Ministry’s officials, the Minister was briefed on the quantities and types of products and production capacity, in addition to the quantities required in the local market, noting in this regard government’s keenness to support basic foods for citizens which includes flour.
Yusuf Al Sale briefed about company’s developments and their production processes and stages, as well as future plans and trends that are in line with government orientations. He pointed out that the price of subsidized flour bag weighing 50kg is for BD 2according to ministerial decree issued by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce.
As for Ramadan products “small packages” is multiply heavily on ordinary days and the company is preparing to provide products 3 months before to the local market. The company is working to provide Ramadan basket with its different products that are witnessing demand every year. The company is ready to provide “white and brown bread” as well as Harees seeds.
It is expected to increase sales proportion in Ramadan this year an increase of a total of 19.3% of the small packages. The company is fully prepare to meet any expected increase van by requested by local customers to cover markets’ need, noting that the company career working around the clock during this period to serve the customer in the Kingdom.
