The Cabinet approved and forwarded to the Legislative authorities a draft law that incriminates smuggling supported oil substances. The draft law punishes the perpetrators of such smuggling supported oils and supported petroleum products (whether it pure or mixed with other substances) as a misdemeanor.
Moreover, the law considers ships that carry supported oil products without permission (from the Authority of Oil and Gas) through Customs or in the areas allocated to ship docking in the Kingdom will be viewed as attempting smuggling. Those who commit this crime will face incarceration of no less than six months and no more than three years, as well as a penalty fee that is no less than the value of the products and do not exceed its worth by three times; or could face either incarceration or fine and confiscation of the product.
