Interior Minister briefs EU delegation on security situation in Bahrain

His Excellency the Minister of Interior Lt-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa received here today a European Parliament delegation led by EU Special Representative for Human Rights Stavros Lambrinidis, in the presence of the Inspector-General Major-General Ibrahim Habib Al Ghaith, Chief of Public Security Major-General Tariq Al Hassan and the Head of the EU Delegation in the region Ambassador Adam Colakh.

HE the Minister welcomed the delegation which is visiting Bahrain as part of the Kingdom’s interaction with international agencies.

The members of the delegation were briefed about the security situation in Bahrain.

In this regard, HE the Minister highlighted that the Ministry’s development and training programmes and action plan to develop policing in the kingdom were in line with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s pioneering Reform Project.

The meeting was also attended by Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs at the Interior Ministry
