Two private medical facilities in the Kingdom of Bahrain, KIMS Bahrain Medical Centre (KBMC) and the Royal Bahrain Hospital (RBH), have raised the bar in terms of healthcare quality standards by meeting the requirements of the Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care and securing the accreditation of the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards International (ACHSI).
While KBMC has been re-accredited, thereby proving its continued commitment to maintaining very high standards of healthcare delivery, RBH has made its mark as the fastest accredited hospital after launch in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
“This accreditation was granted in recognition of our commitment to continuous improvement in quality of patient care, service and safety, which meets the international guidelines by the Board of Australian Council,” KIMS Group Chairman Dr. Mohammed Sahadulla, said.
“Medical care delivery systems are growing increasingly complex and handling more and more patients with each passing day. As such, it is critically important to have in place a template for delivery of services that will offer high quality medical attention as well as safety. We are proud that RBH has proven that it has this commitment and won the accreditation within two years of its establishment.”
“The re-accreditation of KBMC goes to prove that we have continued to retain our focus on high-quality patient care and invest in the best medical team and facilities for our patients,” he added.
RBH and KBMC Chief Operating officer, Dr. Ravi Preet Singh said the accreditation of the hospital was a very encouraging sign for the Group because it validated their efforts to put in place very high standards of care. “To the patients, the accreditation is a vote of confidence from experts that their medical facility is on the right track to ensure and implement the highest standards of care. The ACHSI accreditation comes at a right time as the KIMS Group expects that international accreditation will soon be made compulsory for all healthcare institutions in GCC countries.”
Dr. Sahadulla thanked the government of Bahrain and the Economic Development Board for encouraging Indo-Bahraini business ties that had facilitated the establishment of KBMC and RBH in Bahrain.
“It was a proud moment for us when HRH Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa commented on the KIMS Hospital in Kochi during his recent visit there, saying the presence of KIMS as a significant private medical service provider in the Kingdom contributed to the high quality of life in Bahrain,” he said.
