Nama International Real Estate, a fully-owned subsidiary of Kooheji Global Holding, signed an agreement to build a mixed-use project KGH Tower within the Bahrain Bay development with a total approximate cost of $300 million.
Bahrain Bay is a $2.5 billion mixed-use waterfront development set off the north-eastern shore of Manama, Bahrain. Construction on the project began in June 2006. The development offers an ideal location based upon an unparalleled master-plan, projecting a living and working population of between 25,000 to 30,000 people designed for the very best in 21st Century living.
The announcement was made during the signing ceremony at the head office Bahrain Bay Development Company between Nama International Real Estate and Bahrain Bay Development. Official representatives were Tariq Al-Kooheji, Managing Director of Kooheji Global Holding and Abdulla Al-Doseri, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Bay Development.
“We are glad to announce the launch of our latest development that would be considered as the pride and back bone of our company. The project will consist of two phases, where phase one will consist of a 4- Star Hotel with around 175 keys, 120 Luxury Serviced Apartments, higher-end Commercial Office space and Retail Zone and Multi Storey Car Park space, whereas Phase 2 will consist of the 5-Star Hotel comprising of around 240 rooms,” Tariq Al-Kooheji said.
“We started communicating with top international hotel brands and operators to be our partners, overall we paid careful thought and consideration to make sure that the project will be developed based on the highest international design standards catering to the growing needs of the hospitality and commercial sectors in the kingdom of Bahrain,” he added.
