Minister of Labour, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Vocational Training, Jameel Bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, who received in his office at the ministry a delegation from Al-Osra Bank and Dar Erteqa for organizing exhibitions and consultations and also high arts, highlighted the importance of public private sector partnership (PPP) model in vocational training.
The minister said that Ministry of Labour always welcomes the partnership with all sectors, and represents the main support for all the national initiatives aiming at rehabilitation of the Bahraini young people and developing their capabilities.
The minister pointed out that the most important goals of the ministry are to find decent job opportunities for job seekers citizens and continue to address unemployment. He also stressed the importance of training the young people seeking jobs to establish their small enterprises, for the national manpower is the real capital in the comprehensive process of construction and development witnessed by Kingdom of Bahrain.
Minister of Labour highlighted that the other goal of the ministry is to encourage young people to establish small enterprises which absorb the ambitious and creative young people in successful projects that are needed in the labour market.
The minister also asserted the wise leadership’s and the government’s full support of the small and medium enterprises sector, which is considered one of the most important pillars of the national economy, for it possesses promising chances that serve the social and economic development process, and provides decent job opportunities for Bahrainis.
For their part, the representatives of the initiative thanked and appreciated Minister of Labour, and lauded the qualitative and aspiring projects supervised by Ministry of Labour to accommodate the best means and provide various options for the young Bahraini people to seek the suitable jobs.
Director of Quality Improvement and Consulting in Dar Erteqa Fadhel Habib highlighted that the Corporation has taken the responsibility with the other institutions to help them to develop and address all financial, production and marketing challenges, and Dar Erteqa is happy to launch the initiative “Skills that make life.” The initiative invests the talents of the young Bahraini people and helps them to turn their talents through continuous training and rehabilitation into economic initiatives in the form of promising projects in the labour market.
Fadhel Habib also said that the initiative focuses on the close partnership with leading parties in the Kingdom, including Al-Osra Bank, and other partners to support young people through training programme in cooperation with the concerned parties in the technical and entrepreneurs’ areas. He also said that the beneficiaries of the initiative will go through three months of intensive theoretical and practical training on the technical skills on the one hand and entrepreneurial skills and the establishment of projects, on the other hand.
