The Organizing Committee for Bahrain eContent Award, which is organized by Bahrain Internet Society in cooperation with the eGovernment Authority, and held under the patronage of Deputy Premier, the President of the Supreme Committee for Information Technology and Communications, announced extending the period of registration and acceptance of contributions. The extension is for the eContent projects of public and private institutions and for individuals to be another week and ends on Thursday.
“We have announced opening the registration for the Bahrainis participation individuals, ministries, government institutions, civil society institutions, and private sector institutions since last Wednesday. He said that the main period of registration has ended last Thursday, but out of the committee’s desire to open the door for more contributions, it has decided to extend the period of registration and receiving contributions for another week, wishing to have a greater number of participants from all sectors,” the Head of the Organizing Committee for the Award, the Chairman of Bahrain Internet Society, Nawaf Mohammed Abdul Rahman, said.
Nawaf Mohammed Abdul Rahman said that the submitted project for the Award can include the eContent in a website on the Internet, highlighting that it will assess the participating eContent projects according to the adopted international standards, which are also adopted by World Summit Award (WSA).
Nawaf Mohammed Abdul Rahman also said that the selection of the best achievements of the eContent in the submitted works for the Award will be through 9 various categories: (e-Government and Open Data) , ( e-Health and Environment) , (e-Learning and Science) , (e-Entertainment and games) , (e-Culture and Tourism) , (e-Media and Journalism) , (e-Business and Commerce) , (e-Inclusion and Empowerment) , and (e-Banking).
