Pakistan Community has been playing an active role in the socio-economic development of the Kingdom of Bahrain and professionals bridge the gap between the two sides, according to Ambassador Jauhar Saleem of Pakistan.
The Ambassador made these remarls during the first annual general meeting of the Pakistan Finance Professionals Forum of Bahrain (PFPFB) which was held at InterContinental Regency Hotel. The meeting was attended the Assistant Undersecretary for Domestic Trade Hameed Rahma Chairman of Bahrain Accountants Association Abbas Al Radhi, the CEO of International Islamic Financial Market Ijlal Ahmed Alvi, Counselor Community Welfare of the Embassy of Pakistan Maqsood Qadir Shah and over 50 high profile finance professionals from Pakistan working on senior positions in Bahrain being the members of PFPFB.
Ambassador Jauhar Saleem in his remarks said that such type of forum he personally wished to see for a long time. He added that there were a large number of senior Pakistani professionals in Bahrain providing a very important link between the two countries Bahrain and Pakistan that determined a great need for such an organization. He was impressed to see a significant number of members present in the gathering and hoped that the membership would grow rapidly in a short time. He also mentioned that the presence of Bahrain government representative in the meeting spoke itself about cooperation they were willing to extend towards common goal in community development.
“The main objectives of PFPFB are primarily to provide networking to the members of the Forum and at the same time arranging technical seminars and conferences for the professional development of the members. We are also working and will soon be announcing our program to improve general standard of finance profession in Bahrain,” the Chairman PFPFB Abdulaziz Abdul Qadir Lang, said.
“Our aim is to provide internationally accredited qualifications and technical development in the field of finance at an affordable cost to everyone interested to pursue career in finance within Bahrain regardless of their nationality as part of our objective to improve finance profession in the Kingdom. The ultimate goal is to equip the next generation with sound technical expertise that will eventually support the country’s ever growing demand in the field of finance and accounting,” he added.
“We always encourage professional development in the Country and employ our best efforts to support the sincere efforts for community development,” CEO of Sabre Middle East Daniel Naoumovitch in a message said.
