Bahrain’s moon-sighting committee has today announced that Ramadan would start on Wednesday July10, corresponding to Ramadan 1, 1434 Hijri calendar.
The Supreme Islamic Affairs Council (SIAC) announced that the Ramadan moon had not been sighted in the Kingdom of Bahrain. “No evidence of moon sighting was reported to the panel, confirming the advent of the Holy month”, the council said in a statement, announcing that tomorrow (Tuesday) would thus be the 30th day of Shaaban.
The panel featured Shaikh Ibrahim bin Abdullatif Al-Saad, Shaikh Adnan bin Abdulla Al-Qattan, Shaikh Rashid bin Hassan Al-Bouainain and Shaikh Ibrahim bin Rashid Al-Merrikhi.
The Supreme Islamic Affairs Council (SIAC) extended Ramadan greetings to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and the First Deputy Prime Minister. The council also congratulated the Ruling Family, the loyal people of Bahrain, the Arab and Islamic nations.
