The Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco), in conjunction with the Bahrain Diabetes Society, held a Ramadan Ghabga at the Bapco Club in Awali to honour diabetic students for their outstanding academic achievements.
The event was held under the patronage of Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, Minister of State for Defence Affairs, Chairman of the Bahrain Diabetes Society. Present at the event were members of the Bahrain Diabetic Society and members of Bapco’s Board and Executive Committee. Speaking at the event, Bapco’s Chairman and Acting Chief Executive, Adel Khalil Al-Moayyed welcomed Shaikh Mohammed and all attendees.
“This event reflects the close partnership between Bapco and the Bahrain Diabetic Society Centre. We are delighted to celebrate the fruitful outcome and successful partnership between both organisations, which reflects the relentless efforts exerted by dedicated officials of both parties in serving diabetic children and recognising their academic excellence” he said. “We are all dedicated to serving this segment of the society through our noble mission, and strive to serve humanity at all times. We hail, with gratitude the tangible achievements by the Bahrain Diabetic Society in spreading awareness regarding diabetes and implementing key projects for serving diabetic children,” Al-Moayyed, added.
Shaikh Mohammed and Al-Moayyed presented awards to the outstanding diabetic students in recognition of their academic excellence.
