His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa paid tribute to the honorary chairman of the Royal Charity Organization, His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, for sponsoring needy orphans in Bahrain.
He stressed the resolve of the RCO staff to achieve the visions and aspirations of HM the King, pledging to provide orphans with premium services, promote their competences and meet their needs.
HH Shaikh Nasser was speaking as he hosted an Iftar banquet in honour of RCO-sponsored students, in the presence of RCO staff, Alba Chairman Mahmoud Hashim Al-Kooheji, and BMI Bank Chief Executive Officer Jamal Hazeem.
HH Shaikh Nasser conveyed greetings from HM the King, urging students to work hard and excel in their studies in order to serve their country under HM’s leadership.
He paid tribute to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier for their care.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, who is also RCO board of trustees’ chairman, commended business companies for promoting charity work, singling out Alba which donated BD250, 000 to set up a pilot nursery.
Alba Chairman Mahmoud Hashim Al-Kooheji presented the donation to HH Shaikh Nasser, paying tribute to HM the King for promoting charity work, extending a helping hand to needy people and dispatching humanitarian relief aid to distressed people and disaster victims.
Al-Kooheji hailed the efforts of Shaikh Nasser, hailing the RCO- charity and humanitarian initiatives to provide care for orphans and needy people in Bahrain and spearhead development projects whose dividends benefit these social categories.
He took pride, on behalf of Alba, in supporting the RCO-led charity work, stressing the company’s dedication to contribute to charity and development projects benefiting orphans in Bahrain.
HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa then honored the winners of the 3rd BMI-sponsored RCO Futsal Championship, which was recently held under his patronage at the Khalifa Sport City.
RCO Secretary-General Dr. Mustapha Al-Sayyed expressed thanks to HH Shaikh Nasser on behalf of RCO-sponsored students and affiliated staff, commending his dedicated care as well as his keenness on taking part in RCO events and activities.
He hailed Alba for its generous donation to set up a pilot nursery in Muharraq, paying tribute to a benevolent lady from the Ruling Family who also made a generous donation to construct another nursery in the Northern Governorate. Dr. Al-Sayyed appealed to companies, enterprises and philanthropists to contribute to the establishment of one nursery in each of the five governorates.
