Kuwait Ambassador in Bahrain Shaikh Azzam bin Mubarak Al Sabah condemned the terror blast which targeted Shaikh Isa bin Salman Mosque’s car park when a booby-trapped car went off during Taraweeh prayers.
He said the attack was denounced by all means and contravenes Islamic precepts and the customs of the people of the Arabian Gulf who are known for their tolerance and respect of worships.
He added that targeting houses of worship has nothing to do with humanitarian values and is in breach with all religions as the perpetrators showed no respect to the holy month of Ramadan.
The Kuwaiti ambassador was among the worshippers inside the mosque when the explosive-laden car went off outside in the car park.
