His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa has asserted that improving the citizens’ standards of living tops the agenda of the government’s daily work and, therefore, it is following up the development and building marches across the kingdom in order to ensure that all the citizens have access to quality services and enjoy comfortable life.
“Muharraq, like other cities and villages of the kingdom, will enjoy more mega housing, tourism, trade, service and infrastructure projects, and I am keen to follow up on the implementation process personally in order to make sure that they are completed in time, and out of my support for those who need them,” he said.
He emphasised that the government has accelerated its citizen-oriented service work out of its resolve to achieve sustainable development for the people of Bahrain.
This came as HRH Premier paid an inspection visit to Halat Abu Maher Health Centre project in Muharraq, in line with his constant desire to get assured on the progress of service projects on the ground and make sure they are implemented according to preset schedule.
HRH Prime Minister was informed that the project is 50% complete.
He issued instructions to speed up the construction process of the project so as to be ready before May, 2014, directing the relevant sides to provide it with latest medical equipment and technology in order to enable it to offer the best quality therapeutic and health services.
HRH Premier affirmed strong keenness to ensure that all regions in the kingdom, including Muharraq, enjoy integrated projects, infrastructure and excellent services that cater to the needs of the citizens.
He underlined the Halat Abu Maher’s Health Centre will be added value in terms of the quality health services and will expand the network of health facilities in Muharraq, in particular, and Bahrain, in general.
He noted that the government is interested in upgrading the health sector through launching more health projects and developing the existing ones so as to ensure the citizens have easy access to them.
He added that increasing service projects has become an urgent necessity in order to be able to cope with the urban boom and population growth currently witnessed by the kingdom through a future vision that determines the challenges and devises the required executive programmes.
He affirmed that the nation-building and development march will continue un-wavered and will not be affected by the obstacles created by some sides.
“The government’s determination to optimise national achievements is stronger than all challenges since the ultimate goals are serving the citizens and improving the quality of services provided for them,” he explained.
He pointed out that any government that seeks to achieve development and prosperity focuses on the citizens who are the core of progress and renaissance, and therefore, the government’s efforts are focused on upgrading the quality of its services.
