His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister affirmed the importance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s directives to implement the recommendations that have come out of the National Assembly’s meeting. This directive embodies His Majesty’s desire to reinforce national cohesion and the government’s determination to protect the security and stability of the Kingdom.
As His Majesty the King has emphasised, Bahrain will always remain a state based on institutional and legal rights and freedoms, with all segments of society protected without discrimination or exclusion. In order to maintain this, the independent channel of the judicial authority will deal with anyone who intends to negatively affect the country’s civil peace.
The issuance of the royal order for the National Assembly to convene its extraordinary meeting today, responding to the request of its members, came in line with the constitutional approach that places an essential role for key institutions in acting as a partner in the decision-making process for issues of national importance.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince recognised that this step taken by the National Assembly illustrates its responsible approach and highlighted that its recommendations will be implemented through ongoing cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities.
His Royal Highness stated that full commitment is required by all parties to implement the royal directives in order to address the range of issues and obstacles facing the country.
The kingdom required the collaboration of its people to overcome present and future challenges. His Royal Highness concluded by saying that participation in shaping Bahrain’s future progress is guaranteed for all through constructive dialogue focused on reform and development.
