The Shura Council has strongly condemned the latest terrorist attack which targeted the home of Member of Parliament Abbas Al-Madi. The attackers clearly had carried out their attack in order to violate the safety and sanctity of private homes and to scare citizens.
The Shura Council accentuated that such unlawful acts have nothing to do with democracy and are tantamount to an attempt to suppress differing opinions and this constitutes a breach of religious values, tolerance and rectitude which characterize the people of Bahrain, moral ethics, brotherliness.
The Shura Council called for enforcement of the law against the perpetrators and urged religious scholars and NGOs to voice their opinion in rejecting this criminal act which violates national interest and jeopardizes the national dialogue which is the sole leeway for reaching consensus and accomplishing our aspirations for a better future in harmony with the reform project initiated by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
