His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa voiced the government’s resolve to carry out the recommendations of the National Assembly to maintain Bahrain’s security and stability and protect it and the people from terrorism.
He was speaking as he chaired at Gudaibiya Palace on Wednesday a high-profile work meeting to discuss the executive and legislative procedures taken to toughen up punishment regarding terrorism.
Security measures taken by the Interior Ministry to boost civic peace and security were also reviewed.
HRH the Prime Minister directed the Interior Ministry to take all necessary procedures to protect Bahrain from terror acts and continue implementing the comprehensive security strategy to deal with any adversity.
HRH was also briefed about the measures taken by the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry concerning inciting violence and terrorism and providing a cover for that.
He directed the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments Ministry to take legal measures against violating the law and regulations of political societies and take practical procedures to ensure religious rostrums and political societies perform their role.
He also directed the State Ministry for Communication Affairs to take technical and legal procedures in coordination with relevant parties regarding the illegal use of social networking systems to propagate false information aimed at destabilising the country and undermining civic peace and stability.
HRH the Prime Minister underlined Bahrain’s due right to prevent terror acts and eradicate them, hailing the initiative of the National Assembly and the government’s determination to carry out its recommendations, in line with the directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
