Bahrain’s Foreign Ministry summoned heads of European diplomatic missions (Schengen) in Bahrain, including the Italian Ambassador, French embassy charge d’affaires and German Embassy charge d’affaires, after receiving numerous complaints from Bahraini citizens about confronting difficulties in obtaining the Schengen visa.
Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Abdulla Abdullatif Abdulla reviewed the complications faced by Bahraini citizens in obtaining the Schengen visa, and stressed the Ministry’s keenness to facilitate the obtaining visa procedures for Bahraini nationals, and to overcome all difficulties with regard to the issuance of visas, through laying down mechanisms that facilitate the same.
Heads of diplomatic missions explained the difficulties faced by their embassies, including the receipt of a number of requests that exceed their Embassies capacities, and the steps will be taken to address this issue, emphasizing keenness to satisfy the applicants.
