A specially formed committee from the Bahrain Petroleum Company’s (Bapco) Management has conducted an extensive and well-organised judging session in order to determine the winners of Bapco’s Art Competition 2013, which was held under the theme of ‘Investing in our Environment.’
A number of factors were taken into consideration during the judgment process, primarily the relevance of the submitted art work to the theme of the competition, before selecting the winning entries. The committee consisted of Bapco’s Deputy Chief Executive (Refining and Marketing) Ebrahim Talib, General Manager – Human Resources and Administration Ghassan Al Muhanna, and Khalid Al Sabbagh, General Manager Marketing, in addition to a panel of company employees. The winners of the competition will be announced at an award ceremony which is scheduled to be held at the Bapco Club on August 29, 2013.
The Bapco Art Competition is an annual fixture held under the auspices of the company with the aim of encouraging promising artistic talent and supporting the artistic culture in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Held in previous years, it has been met with wide acceptance and positivity by a large number of participants, who have expressed their appreciation to Bapco. This year’s submissions have also displayed higher artistic and technical prowess as compared to past editions of the competition, which has contributed effectively towards enriching the standard of the competition and reinforcing its fundamental objective of supporting the art movement of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
