A number of the Bahrain Petroleum Company (Bapco) employees participated in the Kaizen Management Workshop organized by the Japan Cooperation Center for the Middle East (JCCME) at Al Bander Resort.
The lecture was led by Dr. Seiichi Fujita Professor at the Graduate School of Commerce, Waseda University, reflected on Kaizen, which is a Japanese philosophy for continuous improvement of processes in manufacturing, distribution and other industrial fields.
The workshop was attended by a number of Bapco’s senior Management led by the Chairman and Acting Chief Executive, Adel Khalil Al-Moayyed.
At the outset of the workshop, Bapco’s Deputy Chief Executive Refining and Marketing Ebrahim Talib made a presentation in which he highlighted Bapco’s ongoing efforts in developing work mechanisms towards achieving the aspired goals.
He stressed that Bapco’s participation in that workshop is part of its dedicated efforts aimed at improving the overall performance and developing the skills of its employees. The workshop targets top and mid-level executives of the private business sector who are responsible for industrial development.
JCCME is an independent, non-profit foundation authorized and supervised by the Japanese Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry METI. JCCME aims to contribute to the promotion of Japan’s investment, trade, economic and technical cooperation with the Middle East countries with a view to furthering their economic development. JCCME carries out the following activities: Investment Promotion Activities, International Conferences and Communication, Research and Surveys, Cooperation Promotion and Information Services, Seminars and Training.
