The General Director of Northern Governorate Police confirmed that a car bomb was detonated in Budaiya on Saturday. The vehicle was located adjacent to a fence surrounding a garden utilized by families and children. The bomb was fuelled by a gas cylinder. No injuries were reported.
The General Director reported that police rushed to the scene immediately after receiving a call about the explosion at 6:24 PM. The initial investigation revealed that two gas cylinders had been placed inside the car but only one of them exploded. The General Director said that the blast occurred during the Iftar period when the garden was empty.
