Crises have made Bahrain’s leadership and people even stronger than ever and also stimulated popular support from the citizens through various means of expression, or constitutional institutions, including the National Assembly, for the aim of confronting them and eradicating them, according to His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.
He stressed that those who pulled out of constitutional establishments, under whose dome they could have their demands achieved, and chose the street to express their opinions and make sectarian calls for the sake of dividing society and terrorizing it have lost credibility.
He added that the nation has, unfortunately, been stabbed in the back by some national hands which have been used as tools to destroy their own homeland, noting that “we could never have imagined that some citizens would stage evil conspiracies against this nation using the cover of openness, democracy and freedom of expression guaranteed to all, but they certainly have failed to take into account the honourable stances of the Bahraini people which would make all their malicious plans a failure.”
HRH Premier was speaking as he received at the Gudaibiya Palace a number of Hamad Town citizens representing heads of local councils, who wanted to extend their thanks and appreciation to him for his recent visit to their town recently.
HRH Premier asserted that the feelings of patriotism and national-belonging showcased by the Bahraini citizens in cities and villages, through defying and standing united against misleading and sedition calls is a lesson for everyone trying to drag the country into chaos and sabotage, adding that the Bahraini people will never allow any side to tamper with its hard-won achievements, and will confront those who embrace terrorism and instigators resolutely.
“The national work march will go ahead un-wavered,” he said, stressing that “our top priority is to develop this national in all fields, and all terror attempts will never succeed to impede our resolve to achieve the interests of the country and its people.”
He emphasized the government’s strong resolve to go ahead with steps to implement the recommendations of the National Assembly on combating terrorism and instigators, adding that the law will be applied and enforced without violation or excess.
HRH Premier lauded the honourable stances of the Bahraini citizens who defied all attempts to terrorise or intimidate them, and proved they were the most powerful in facing forces of darkness that wanted to drag the nation into backwardness and chaos.
He added that the tolerant and peaceful nature of the Bahraini people is the guarantor for ensuring Bahrain’s safety and stability, noting that any alien voice aiming to sow division among the members of the one-family Bahraini is certainly a discordant one and will be totally rejected and condemned by the people.
He affirmed that Bahrain will be able to face all evil forces and continue its progress and development march thanks to the unity and cohesion of its people, pledging that the nation-building process will continue in all sectors.
He pointed out that the wave of violence and terrorism staged by some sides will be confronted with determination and force.
“We are advocates of security and stability, and we have to adhere to our stances, continue building the nation and draw lessons from what happened for the safety of our nation and people,” he said.
HRH Premier commended the efforts of the security forces and sacrifices to defend Bahrain and safeguard its security and stability.
“All thanks to them for their dedication in order to promote security across the nation,” he said.
The citizens extended their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to HRH Premier for his sound directives aiming to ensure the interests of the citizens, praising his keenness to listen to the citizens in order to be informed about their needs and meet them, which, they asserted, has made him a role model of a leader who serves his people.
They extended to him sincere congratulations on being granted the European Award for the International Personality of the Year for 2013 by the Association of Arab Economists and Administrators in the European Union, noting that the award is source of pride for all Bahrainis and reflects the distinguished position enjoyed by the kingdom at all regional and international gatherings.
