The General Organisation for Youth and Sport (GOYS) and Tamkeen have signed a partnership agreement on holding the Youth City 2030 functions for the fourth year in row, in line with their commitment to implementing the Economic Vision for Bahrain 2030 regarding embracing youths and training them in various fields.
GOYS President Hesham Mohammed Al-Jowdar signed the agreement on behalf of GOYS, and Tamkeen’s CEO Mahmoud Hashim Al Koohiji signed it on behalf of Tamkeen.
Under the agreement, the Youth City 2030 will consist of five main centres, namely the Media, Leaders Preparation, Arts, Sciences, Information Technology ones.
Those centres are expected to attract Bahraini youths and develop their skills and potentials.
On the occasion, GOYS President affirmed that holding the Youth City project for the fourth consecutive year is in line with the wise leadership’s directives to provide necessary care for youths and create suitable conditions for them to refine their talents in order to be able to contribute actively to the development process in the kingdom.
He expressed sincere appreciation to the Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sport Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa for patronizing such a key youth function, which, he said, reflects his constant care for youths.
He also lauded the existing fruitful cooperation between GOYS and Tamkeen.
Mahmoud Hashim Al Koohiji expressed Tamkeen’s pride in its role to support and empower Bahraini youths through various programmes, including the Youth City 2030.
