Adnan Yousef Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jordan Islamic Bank, who is also President and Chief Executive of Al Baraka Banking Group, said that the bank began some time ago to develop a plan to provide alternative energy by using solar panels.
Adnan added that the production of electrical energy using solar cells come in Bank attention to its responsibilities towards the community and the environment, and the use of solar cells contributes to the adoption of clean energy.
Musa Abdul Aziz Shihadeh Vice Chairman, and CEO of Jordan Islamic Bank (JIB ) said that the first branch of the Jordan Islamic Bank start getting benefit from the power generation and by exploitation space on the roofs of the bank’s branches for the installation of solar cells, and that the Bank seeks to disseminate to all branches and offices, amounting to 80 branches and offices, which achieves savings and a reduction in the electricity bill incurred by the bank, and contributes to the alleviation of high electrical loads in the Kingdom, thus contributing to the national economy and environmental protection.
