Qatar Airways celebrated the holy month of Ramadan by welcoming journalists to Ramadan Ghabqas in Doha; Dubai, UAE; Dammam, Saudi Arabia and Al Manama, Bahrain.
Qatar Airways co-hosted the four events with local hotels in each city with the goal of showing appreciation to the regional media who continuously support Qatar’s national carrier.
Salam Alshawa, Vice President Corporate Communications for Qatar Airways, expressed her thoughts on the special events held over the holy Ramadan period: “We have very strong media relationships with those who give their support to Qatar Airways by reporting on our news.
“Ramadan is a real opportunity to be thankful and to appreciate our media partners. The Ghabqas are special occasions for us to re-connect with the regions’ journalists and show how thankful we are for their service to the community. We are happy to also welcome the new joiners to the Arab media industry,” Alshawa added.
In addition to being one of the region’s premier carriers and an emerging power in the international air travel market, Qatar Airways is proud of its commitment to the local community, its culture and traditions.
Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 16 years of operations, currently flying a modern fleet of 127 aircraft to 128 key business and leisure across Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific and The Americas.
